PROJECT DESCRIPTION //

The project consisted of the construction of a new LEED Silver Certified two-story 33,000 SF Facility to service the Savage area of Howard County, Maryland. The project included a complete development of a small section of ground between major road intersections making a tight job site and requiring a challenging schedule and coordination efforts by all trades. The building included an 8,000 SF truck bay to hold all of the fire equipment and hublot replica watches related accessories, a 3,000 SF hall with a full kitchen to accommodate community events. Also included, was a control center, hose drying tower, fire fighter kitchen area, day room, fitness center, 22 bed rooms, fire company offices, locker and change rooms to mention a few of the amenities provided for this shared facility of both professional and volunteer fire company personnel. The structure incorporated heavy concrete systems, structural Steel framing, multiple wythe masonry supported shell and interior walls, resinous flooring, oak trim and other hand crafted millwork features. The facility included multiple special construction features including: custom bi-parting truck bay doors, a vegetated green roof system, solar panels, high efficiency HVAC systems, motion sensor lighting, and other energy savings features. The project was constructed during a 14 month period.
